Last November 23, 2006, Cleanway Technology Corporation's ISO14001:2004 and ISO9001:2000-certified waste treatment facility was visited by no less than the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources himself Sec. Angelo T. Reyes. Taking advantage of this momentous occasion, CTC invited local government officials, current and prospective clients members of the press, and delegates of "Miss Earth" to CTC's facility in Silang, Cavite.

CTC's guests started arriving as early as 8:00 in the morning. The guest of honor, Sec.Reyes arrived via helicopter and was welcomed by the Herma Group's Chairman Herminio Esguerra together with the lovely Miss Earth delegates. CTC President Crispino 'Sonny' de Castro provided the guests a guided tour of CTC's facility, showcasing its state-of-the art equipment and technologies. After the tour, the guests were ushered into an air-conditioned tent set up in the facility, for a sumptuous lunch buffet and an audio visual presentation on CTC. A short speech from CTC President Sonny De Castro and from Herma Chairman Hermie Esguerra followed.

Apparently impressed by what he had seen, Secretary Reyes addressed the group and expressed his high praises for CTC's integrated waste treatment facility. The Secretary also commended Chairman Hermie Esguerra for his vision and selfless dedication to protect and preserve the environment. As a fitting end to a very positive occasion, Sec. Reyes surprised everyone by showing off his vocal cords and treated the group to two songs which drew several cheers and applause.
