Cleanway Technology Corporation once again played host to its neighbors, the residents of Brgy. Maguyam, in a community event dubbed as "100% Free-Esta" last May 22. The event coincided with the launch of CTC's "100%" print advertising campaign. The objective of the festival (fiesta) was to allow the community an opportunity to better understand and appreciate the company's operations and how CTC is helping the environment.
The residents flocked to the plant in jeeploads, totalling to about 2,000, and spent the entire afternoon enjoying the free food, entertainment and games. Local singers, dancers, magicians and others from the community were tapped to entertain and amuse the guests. We also got the services of the Philippine Marines Drum & Bugle Corps to play music and add to the festive mood. A variety of inflatables were also provided on-site to provide even more enjoyment for the kids. CTC's closed landfill served as the venue for the event.
The event was formally opened by CTC's new President, Lamberto Ramos, welcoming the people of Brgy. Maguyam, reiterating that the company's "doors" are always open for its neighbors. The overwhelming turn-out is proof of the community's acceptance of and gratitude to its neighbor, Cleanway.
